Cesar will receive an adventure package from Grand Teton Lodge Company as well as a photo package from Judge Roy Bean’s Old Time Photos and Weddings.
Mitzi M. of Pardeeville, Wisconsin nominated Caesar for the Western Hospitality Award. Mitzi and her daughter had become lost after a long adventure in Yellowstone National Park. It was long past dark and Mitzi had been unable to make contact with the lodging property she had reserved in Teton Village. Hungry and tired, Mitzi and her daughter stopped in at The Rustic Inn to seek directions. Cesar took time to contact the lodging property and to confirm Mitzi’s reservation. Mitzi said, “Once he reached our hotel and confirmed our room, he gave us a regional map and clearly marked out the route to our hotel.” She concluded, “He was so kind and considerate. He made a hectic evening seem so much better.”
For more information or to make a nomination for the Western Hospitality Award, please contact Mary Haworth, Membership Manager, mary@jacksonholechamber.com or 307.733.3316x20.
About the Western Hospitality Award:
Jackson Hole is one of the top vacation destinations in the United States and our community thrives on the business that is brought to the valley in the summer and winter seasons. The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Membership
Committee created the Western Hospitality Award that recognizes exceptional Jackson Hole area employees in order to increase awareness of the importance of great customer service. Businesses that have a reputation for great service may increase their profits by developing loyal customers out of locals and tourists.
The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Membership Committee presents the Western Hospitality Award each quarter to an employee or a program in the Jackson Hole area that has gone above and beyond their call of duty. ElkFest, a weekend of activities built around the 43rd annual world-famous Jackson Hole Boy Scout Elk Antler Auction, is an exciting time for celebrating nature, outdoor skills, hunting and ecological education and awareness. The Boy Scouts assist the National Elk Refuge with the harvest and auction of shed antlers. This annual event, which includes the High Noon Chili Cook-Off and the kick-off for the Mountain Man Rendezvous and Antler Rendezvous, supports the winter feeding program on the National Elk Refuge.
The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is especially pleased to be hosting the 8th Annual Jackson Hole High Noon Chili Cook-Off with the Howdy Parnder Ambassador Club. Please join us on Town Square from 12:00-3:00pm on Sunday, May 23. Professional chefs representing their restaurants, individuals with super chili recipes, and groups representing their businesses or nonprofit organizations will vie for your votes. Tasting spoons cost just $5.00! Snake River Brewery will be on hand to help tasters cool their tongues with samples of locally-brewed beer.
