Chamber Executive Director Announces Intentions to Resign

Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce
Tim O'Donoghue, the Executive Director of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, has announced his intentions to resign from his position. After more than seven years of service, most as Executive Director, he intends to continue to be active in the Jackson Hole community and Northern Rockies region.

"I feel truly blessed by the opportunities that I have been given to work with a wonderful staff, productive Board of Directors, and community-oriented businesses. I will continue to contribute to our community through other avenues while spending more time with my family and enjoying this truly beautiful place we live in," said O'Donoghue.

Under his leadership, the Chamber has strengthened its role as the voice of business in Teton County and become one of the largest membership organizations in the community. During his tenure, Tim led the Chamber into a solid financial position, new strategically located offices on the Town Square, the successful campaign to pass the Lodging Tax, a four-star accreditation and nationally-recognized Chamber of Commerce in the highest two percent of U.S. Chambers of Commerce, record levels of membership, and most recently, world-wide recognition for Teton County as one of the top sustainable tourism destinations.

The Chamber's Board of Directors as well as business members of the Chamber consider Tim to be a dedicated, hard-working professional committed to his staff and the Chamber's mission of championing the interests of local businesses, enhancing their prosperity, and strengthening the economic climate of Teton County.

Kevin Olson, Chair of the Chamber's Board of Directors, said "Tim is a community leader highly regarded for his integrity, drive, and perseverance. His leadership will be missed, yet the mission of the Chamber marches on. On behalf of our Board and members, we're grateful for Tim's efforts over the years."

The Chamber will conduct its search for Tim's replacement through a Search Committee led by Kevin Olson and Board Chair-Elect Jim Waldrop. In the meantime, Tim will continue to serve as the Chamber's Executive Director through the summer.
