The National Elk Refuge invites the community to Celebrate a Century on Monday, February 20 from 10:00am-4:00pm. The celebration will be a kickoff for a number of events taking place during the National Elk Refuge's centennial in 2012. All the activities planned for the day focus on the theme of history.
Activities will include children's crafts, traditional games, atlatl demonstrations, a presentation form the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum, an open house at the Historic Miller House, and more. For complete details, please visit http://www.fws.gov/nationalelkrefuge/JacksonHoleVisitorCenter.htm.
A featured event of Jackson Hole WinterFest, visitors are encouraged to explore the ways that Jackson's intrepid early settlers formed the community we have today.
