The
International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR), the largest sled dog
race in the lower 48 states, will be held January 25-February 2. The race
begins in Jackson with pre-race festivities. The race begins with a run through
the streets of Jackson to Snow King where a torchlight parade and fireworks
will illuminate the winter night.
In 1996 Frank Teasley, with the help of
public nurse Jayne Ottman, launched the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled
Dog Race to showcase the beautiful state of Wyoming and to make sled dog racing
more accessible to the public.
