Jackson Hole Featured in New James Blunt Video

James Blunt released the brand new video for Bonfire Heart yesterday and it features an amazing tour with highlights like the Grand Teton Range and concludes with a celebration at the Stagecoach Bar in Jackson Hole. The Coach is a favorite for local residents and visitors alike with a rich and amazing history (check out thestagecoachbarfilm.com). The wedding party at the end wasn't staged! Blunt told the story on vh1.com: "What we didn’t know was that in the bar, a wedding was taking place, and when they saw us arrive, the entire wedding piled out and joined us. I played them all “You’re Beautiful” in the car park on my guitar, with the bride and groom pushed to the front by the 80-strong crowd, and then we lit fires and sparklers, put on “Bonfire Heart,” and the bride and groom had their first dance to it, which we filmed, and which is now the climax of the video. So if you think the girl looks happy at the end, you’ll know, she’s not acting." See you at the Coach!

Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Recertified as STEP Bronze

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that it has achieved the second year Sustainable Tourism Education Program’s (STEP) Bronze certification through Sustainable Travel International.  Robert Chappell, Senior Director, Standards & Certification, said that the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is an excellent example of how an organization implements the STEP standard into business operations.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce was the first Chamber or Destination Marketing Organization in the world to become STEP-certified in 2012. This program recognizes the Chamber and others businesses for a commitment to sustainability and for demonstrating responsibility through  best practices that address environmental, economic, and social impacts guided by the philosophy of the triple bottom line: people, planet, profit.

Individual businesses and organizations complete the STEP certification process in order to become more sustainable, to enjoy the related economic benefits of sustainable operations, and to demonstrate a verifiable commitment to responsible practices to visitors and staff. STEP is among the first global standards to be officially recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

JAC: Arrive Two Hours Early!

JH AirportThe Jackson Hole Airport is a wonderfully convenient way to visit Jackson Hole. In order to make your trip as easy as possible, JAC recommends that all passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to departure. Due to the popularity of the area in the busy summer season, the airport is extremely busy and the lobby fills up quickly. The airport wants their guests to have ample time to check-in, return rental cars, get through security, and find their gates. For more information, please visit www.jacksonholeairport.com.
