Professional and amateur teams worked to impress hundreds of chili lovers on Jackson’s Town Square during the Howdy Pardners High Noon Chili Cook-Off, a featured event of ElkFest weekend, on Sunday, May 19. White Buffalo Club and The Show Stoppers took top honors.
Oly Olson,
Howdy Pardner Ambassador Club President, commented, “We are extremely pleased
with the turnout to the Howdy Pardners High Noon Chili Cook-Off. We wish to thank our great panel of judges,
and the outstanding chefs who worked so hard to prepare a vast array of
delicious chili.” He continued, “I believe everyone who braved the Wyoming
liquid sunshine enjoyed the day and the outstanding chili served on Town
Square.”
Visitors and
local residents arrived by bus and bike to join the festive springtime event. Maureen
Murphy, Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Director of Special Events, commented,
“The High Noon Chili Cook-Off is an excellent way to extend ElkFest weekend and
encourage visitors and local residents to spend more time celebrating our
western heritage while enjoying the shops, restaurants, and other businesses in
Jackson Hole.”
