Chamber Named Top Team in Commuter Choice Challenge

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce was named top team for logging the most miles for the second year running in the Commuter Choice Challenge presented by Friends of Pathways.

The Chamber would like to recognize Membership Manager Andy Heffron and Visitor Services Agent Kathy Erickson for their commitment to utilizing the START Bus for their daily commutes. The Chamber began participating in the Commuter Choice Challenge as a tool to support work in UnCommon Sense, the two-year sustainable operations and business leadership program. The Chamber graduated from the program this fall and expects to continue promoting smart commuting options.

Andy commented, "I appreciate Friends of Pathways for the awareness they bring to the importance of alternative transportation in helping to ease the growing traffic concerns here in the valley. The Commuter Choice Challenge is a great way to bring that awareness with fun, friendly competition between area businesses."

According to Friends of Pathways, there were 194 Teton County participants who logged 74,979 miles in 4,034 trips. Participants biked, walked, rode the START Bus, and carpooled. For more information, please visit the Friends of Pathways webpage at www.friendsofpathways.org.
