17th Annual Sled Dog Race Mushes Into Town January 27

IPSSSDR The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is excited to work with the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR).


Founded in 1996 by Frank Teasley to make sled dog racing more accessible to the public, the race is now celebrating its 17th year.

The 2012 event will be held January 27-February 4 with the opening night celebration to take place on Jackson's Town Square. Town Square will be bustling with activity as teams prepare to race down Broadway! Get a close look at the dogs and the team leaders while enjoying the festive atmosphere!

Timeline race start at Town Square Friday, January 27, 2012:

  • 4:30 pm Live remote-5:30 on Jackson Hole Radio
  • 5:00 pm Music on the sound system, food and booths
  • 5:00 pm Storm Show’s 2011 ski/ride film “Action Jackson” playing on the jumboTron’
  • 6:00 pm Frank Welcome
  • 6:30 pm IPSSSDR Team number 1—RACE START
  • 7-9 pm Pedigree Party at Snow King
  • 8 pm Torchlight Parade
  • 8:30 pm Fireworks
