Progress: Opening Yellowstone!

Yellowstone or BustThe Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Joint Powers Board and the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce have pledged $70,000 to open Yellowstone National Park. The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is currently working with Members and community partners to help buy-down the investment to open Yellowstone on time and promote the news to potential visitors who are planning summer vacations. For more information, please visit www.jacksonholechamber.com/OpenYellowstone.

The effort has gained local and national attention. KIFI in Idaho Falls aired "Plowing begins on time for Yellowstone's south entrance" on Tuesday evening. The segment featured Chamber CEO/President Jeff Golightly and Chair Jim Waldrop. Find the video online!

Wyoming Office of Tourism is also working to amplify the efforts and are running the Yellowstone or Bust Sweepstakes. Visit www.wyomingtourism.org/yellowstoneorbust to guess the date and time when WYDOT and Yellowstone National Park plows meet to be entered in the sweepstakes for a free iPad.

The Chamber was on hand to thank the crews who got to work on Monday morning.
