I
have just returned from a Sales Mission to South America in Brazil with
colleagues from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Wort Hotel, Teton
Mountain Lodge/Hotel Terra, and Snow King Resort/Grand View Lodge.
Besides the fact that this is a growing winter market and we are showing
up in force, our competitors have been beating the doors and have been
in force many years ahead of us. But I must say, this was one of the
BEST Sales Missions I have experienced in some time.
Presentations
were given to over 400 Tour Operators, Travel Agents, and members of
the media in the cities of Sao Paulo, Brasilia, and Rio de Janeiro all
in a week's time. No rest for the weary!
I
must recognize the unsung heroes of our Hotel Sales People that go out
on the road, leaving families behind, to navigate foreign countries in
different languages, time zones, currencies, and cultures to get the job
done. We do it because that is what we do. We enjoy it and we love
representing Jackson Hole. Thanks to those special individuals and their
organizations that support them.
